I’m not going to explain to you what SOPA is. Or PIPA. I’d just be cutting and pasting from petition sites anyway. I’m also not going to bother linking to those petition sites. I’m also not going to bother blacking out text on my site. I’m also not going to bother telling you what you should or shouldn’t do.

I’m not going to do any of that stuff because my personal Internet experience mostly occurs within an extended social circle, and yours probably does too, more or less. I have mostly surrounded myself with like-minded people: an inner circle of friends and acquaintances and an outer circle of fans/followers (of my comics, maybe my band, possibly my writing). One can assume that if you’re reading this post at all, it’s probably because you are—in some vague, generalized way—a bit like me. And if you’re not, well then, you probably don’t care about this topic.

So you already know what’s good and what’s bad. You already know what’s important and where your interests lie (Lay? Fuck!), and you don’t need me to tell you anything about it.
